Bryan Fogel, Academy Award® Winner, Writer and Director of ICARUS, has joined the list of keynote speakers at the 29th Annual ACFE Global Fraud Conference in Las Vegas, June 17-22.

In ICARUS, Fogel investigates the world of illegal doping in sports by subjecting himself to his own regimen of performance-enhancing drugs to prepare for an amateur cycling race. He meets Dr. Grigory Rodchenkov, a Russian chemist and one of the film's main subjects while exploring flaws in how doping tests are conducted. Halfway through the film, Rodchenkov blows the whistle on a massive Russian doping program with links to the highest levels of the Russian government.

In an interview with Deadline on Dec. 25, 2017, Fogel discusses Rodchenkov and Russia's accredited anti-doping lab. “It oversaw the testing for all Russian athletes across all sports. He also oversaw the testing at the Sochi Olympics that were held in Russia in 2014,” Fogel says to Deadline. “He was one of the most powerful scientists in the anti-doping world. But as it turns out he was really in the anti-anti-doping world.” See the trailer below.
