2026 Chapter of the Year (Small Market): Taiwan

Each year, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) presents the Chapter of the Year Awards to ACFE chapters that went above and beyond to grow and serve their memberships. The recipients of each award are decided by members of the Chapter Leaders Committee. One award is presented to a chapter located in traditionally large markets and another serving communities in traditionally small markets.

The 2026 Chapter of the Year (Small Market) recipient is the ACFE Taiwan Chapter.

The Taiwan chapter is the first ACFE chapter in the Asia-Pacific region to be recognized as a Chapter of the Year. Since signing its charter in December 2014, the chapter has developed strong partnerships with public and private sector groups, other ACFE chapters and academic institutions to promote the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential and the value of fraud risk management programs.

By creating a dedicated community in LINE (a communication platform similar to WhatsApp), chapter activities, new training opportunities and discussions on emerging issues are shared with members throughout the year to encourage open dialogue and engagement.

As a thought leader, the chapter regularly submits to professional publications on various topics, including financial and business red flags of fraud, corporate mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, unusual related-party transactions and leadership responsibilities — all of which promote the importance of fraud awareness and strong financial governance.

In addition, the chapter has contributed to Taiwan’s implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) by submitting parallel reports for the 2018 and 2022 national reviews; the chapter is also preparing a third report. These reports provide recommendations on corporate criminal liability, transparency, whistleblower protection and private-sector corruption prevention.

The ACFE would like to recognize the chapter’s leadership, including Lynn Chen, Christina Tseng and Alan Yeh, for their volunteer work and dedication to growing the chapter’s impact and giving opportunities to anti-fraud professionals in their region.

Congratulations and continued success to the ACFE Taiwan Chapter!
