James R. Baker Speaker of the Year Award: Tom Caulfield

The James R. Baker Speaker of the Year Award is named for an ACFE faculty member who taught hundreds of classes and instructed thousands of anti-fraud professionals. The award was first presented to Jim Baker himself in 2008, who lost his battle with cancer the same year. Since then, the award is given annually to a speaker who demonstrates the best qualities that Mr. Baker exhibited: Dedication. Experience. Knowledge. Professionalism.

This year’s winner, Tom Caulfield, has more than forty years of combined experience in the private sector, federal government and the military. He has dedicated his professional career to public service, beginning in nineteen seventy-seven in the U.S. Marine Corps, and continuing as a civil servant in the U.S. Air Force, the CIA and the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency. He retired from federal service in twenty fifteen and co-founded the international anti-corruption consulting firm Procurement Integrity Consulting Services.

In addition to his impressive resume, Tom has been a prolific speaker for years and has educated hundreds of anti-fraud professionals and government personnel. He has taught more than twenty ACFE seminars, spoken at many ACFE conferences and led multiple group trainings for the ACFE. With his rich and varied professional background, he offers his audiences an extensive and well-rounded learning experience

We are excited to present the James R. Baker Speaker of the Year award to Tom Caulfield.
